Job Description
DWM Holdings is seeking an ideal candidate to fill a Maintenance Technician position. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing repair and maintenance on equipment in a production facility. This person reports directly to the Production Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, perform, coordinate, and document industrial maintenance of all production equipment with minimal supervision.
- Troubleshoot production equipment with vendor support.
- Perform all repair and preventative maintenance duties to equipment: clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery. Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
- Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs. Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear. Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters and other testing devices. Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
- Reassemble equipment after inspections, testing, or repairs. Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial machinery and equipment. Continually monitor machinery and make necessary adjustments.
- Study blueprints and manuals for correct installation and operation of machinery.
- Cut and weld metal to repair broken parts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment.
- Record parts and materials used, and order or requisition new parts and materials as necessary. Record repairs and maintenance performed.
- Lead problem-solving workshops and participate in lean continuous improvement methodologies.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Company and OSHA standards.
- Complete all paperwork and electronic updates as required.
Requirements:
- Degree in mechanical technology or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years industrial maintenance and electrical experience required.
- Previous experience with lean thinking and standardization implementation.
- Ability to properly use test equipment, heavy industrial shop tools, and diagnose malfunctions.
- Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills.
- Able to handle multiple, complex priorities.
- Ability to perform physical requirements, including standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in awkward positions.
