Job summary

Trucent, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its chemical plant in Van Wert, Ohio. The role supports both production and engineering and involves on-call alternating nights and weekends.

The ideal candidate has experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance and is flexible to cover all shifts if needed. Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing equipment, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting process equipment, documenting repairs and paperwork, and

• Troubleshoot and provide operational assistance for process equipment.
• Document equipment repairs, cleaning, preventative maintenance, calibrations, etc. and complete all required paperwork.
• Perform other related duties or special projects.
• Follow all safety guidelines and company policies.
• Assist and implement capital projects.
• Adhere to all customers facility safety policies and procedures.

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician to support our Chemical Plant in Van Wert, Ohio. This position will be a key part of the maintenance team and would help assist both production and engineering. This position would be on call alternating nights and weekends. An ideal candidate has experience in both Electrical and Mechanical maintenance and is flexible to cover all shifts if needed.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Maintain/repair equipment with emphasis on proper equipment operation.
• Perform preventative maintenance on requested equipment.
• Troubleshoot and provide operational assistance for process equipment.
• Document equipment repairs, cleaning, preventative maintenance, calibrations, etc. and complete all required paperwork.
• Perform other related duties or special projects.
• Follow all FSSC Guidelines.
• Assist and implement capital projects.
• Comply with all aspects of the Trucent safety program, including but not limited to; hazard communication, PPE requirements and attending safety training.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics.
• Adhere to all customers facility safety policies and business ethics

Position Qualifications:

Education:

High School Diploma or equal equivalent.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of mechanical and/or machine maintenance required. Training in industrial maintenance & machine operation is a plus. Welding experience is a plus. Comfortable working on heights and areal equipment.

Skills and Abilities:

• Good personal communication skills and ability to work well with others.
• General knowledge of the skill trades including mechanical, plumbing, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Customer relations & problem resolution skills.
• Effective time management skills and attention to detail.
• Basic familiarity with PCs, HMI, PLC, DCS systems.
• Self-Starter, Ability to work independently under general supervision.
• Ability to read and understand P&ID's
• Perform reading, writing, and speaking at a basic level.
• Perform the basic functions of arithmetic; add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure. Demonstrate a basic understanding of specifications, blueprints, manuals and mechanical drawings and have a general understanding of analytical methods.

License(s)/Certification(s)/Training Required:

• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to use scissor lifts and aerial equipment.
• Acceptable driving record per Trucent Vehicle Policy.
• Machine specific training for each type of applicable purification equipment (centrifuge products lines, to include decanter centrifuges, vertical disc stack centrifuges, mobile oil purification system, wastewater treatment systems).
• Forklift Certification is beneficial.
