Job summary

AtWork Group is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our client’s metals production operations. You will maintain and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems on casting machines, robots, CNC equipment, and other production automation to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of PLC controls and Siemens systems.
• Ability to program, troubleshoot, and maintain Kuka robots and die-casting machines.
• Two years of technical training or engineering degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Correct deficiencies of automatic casting machines, supporting robots and die-casting machinery, and CNC machines.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on production equipment.
• Develop and carry out preventive maintenance and repairs independently.
• Carry out electrical installations such as machine connections, lighting fixtures, and socket installations.
• Draw up switching plans and document modifications on plant and machinery.
• Procure spare parts and manage inventory.

Job description

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to support our client’s manufacturing operations by ensuring the reliability and efficiency of their automated and conventional machinery. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems across casting machines, robots, CNC equipment, and other production automation. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment and plays a key role in minimizing downtime while optimizing equipment performance.

Responsibilities

• Correct deficiencies of automatic casting machines, supporting robots and other die‑casting machinery, and CNC machines.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on production equipment.
• Develop and carry out preventive maintenance and any resulting repairs independently.
• Carry out electrical installations such as machine connections, lighting fixtures, and socket installations.
• Carry out modifications and extensions on plant and machinery, and draw up switching plans for documentation purposes.
• Procure spare parts from the tool crib or warehouse, taking account of inventory control and materials management.
• Identify environmental aspects for the assigned department and support environmental management plan goals and targets through training, engagement, and communications.

Requirements

• Knowledge of multiple control systems such as PLC controls, Siemens, etc.
• Ability to gain knowledge of programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Kuka and applicable robots, and die‑casting machines.
• Two years of technical training or a bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent experience.
• HS diploma or equivalent.

Schedule

12‑hour, 2‑3‑2 shift: Day shift 6:45AM – 7:00PM, Night shift 6:45PM – 7:00AM.

Work Environment

This is a metals production/foundry type environment – non‑climate-controlled, can get very hot in some areas, particularly in the summer months.

Pay

$25.00 – $35.00 per hour.
