Job description

UDR, Inc. and its affiliated companies are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at Andover Place, an apartment community with 672 homes located in Tampa, Florida.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Respond to maintenance and service requests from common areas and residents, ensuring repairs are completed within organizational standards.
2. Maintain the community's appearance and cleanliness, including grounds, amenities, building exteriors, and common areas, reporting safety issues immediately.
3. Prepare apartments for occupancy, performing tasks such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, and cleaning as needed.
4. Organize and maintain tools, equipment, and workspace; assist in inventory management.
5. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
6. Adhere to all company policies and demonstrate UDR values daily.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Experience in maintenance within multi-family, hospitality, or related industries.
2. Skills in plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting, and drywall; HVAC and carpentry experience are a plus.
3. Strong customer service skills.
4. Proficiency with modern technology, including computers and smartphones.
5. Valid driver’s license; on-call responsibilities required.

Education:

1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. EPA Type II or Universal certification preferred.
