Job summary

Richman Property Services, Inc. in Tampa, FL is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Meridian Pointe Apartments. This full-time role involves daily upkeep, repairs, and preventive maintenance to keep our communities in top condition.

You will perform HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry tasks, and respond to service requests with a focus on safety and resident satisfaction. On-call weekend rotation is required after training.

Qualifications

• EPA I/II or Universal Technician license required or sponsorship may be provided within first 75 days of employment.
• Driver's license required for this position.
• Minimum of 2+ years of apartment maintenance experience; new construction experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily repair and upkeep of the property.
• Prepare vacant units for occupancy within established deadlines.
• Manage service requests and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and The Clean Air Act.
• Oversee inventory and care of tools and equipment.
• Complete required tasks such as training, logs, and reports in a timely manner.
• Uphold company policies and provide exceptional customer service.
• Seek educational opportunities for personal growth and development.
• Assist in property preventative maintenance plan.
• Collaborate on maintaining curb appeal and cleanliness of buildings and grounds.
• Perform on-call duties and occasional overtime.

Join our growing Maintenance Team as a full-time Maintenance Technician at Richman Property Services, Inc. in Tampa, FL!

Position:

Maintenance Technician

Location:

Meridian Pointe Apartments, located in Tampa, FL

Hours:

M-F 8:00am-5:00pm, with on-call weekend rotation. 40 hours per week, weekend rotation required.

Key Qualifications:

• EPA I & II or EPA Universal. If you do not have your EPA but possess the right skills and experience, RPS may sponsor (and pay) for your EPA I & II within your first 75 days on the job.
• Valid Driver's License is required for this position
• Minimum of 2+ years of apartment maintenance experience, new construction experience preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required

Education:

• High school diploma or GED; industry-related courses preferred

Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years of maintenance and general repair experience or Groundskeeper
• Proficiency in maintenance tasks, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.
• Must own basic tools as allowed by state laws
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, including Fair Housing Laws
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently

Skills & Certifications:

• EPA Section 608 Type I and II or Universal Technician license, strongly preferred
• Valid Driver's License required
• Proficient in English for communication and record-keeping purposes
