Our partner company isseeking a reliable, skilled Mechanical Technician to join their team. In this role, you will perform hands-on mechanical assembly, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across a variety of equipment and components. You will work within an active shop and industrial environment, collaborating closely with team members to ensure operations run safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The ideal candidate will have experiencewith fabrication, welding skills, mechanical assembly, troubleshooting and the ability to run a lathe and or mill for basic operations. ZPMLSTCM

Responsibilities

Mechanical Assembly, Repair & Maintenance

• Execute precision mechanical work, including the disassembly, inspection, component nreplacement, repair, and reassembly of complex equipment and mechanical systems.
• Safely and effectively operate a wide range of manual and powered hand tools, torque wrenches, and pneumatic equipment to execute structural fasteners, adjustments, and alignment procedures.
• Support ongoing preventative maintenance programs across primary machinery, mechanical components, and general shop tools to minimize equipment downtime and preserve operational standards.

Technical Documentation & Collaboration

• Interpret and follow verbal directions, detailed written process plans, technical drawings, mechanical blueprints, and basic schematics accurately.
• Partner with team members, lead technicians, and supervisors to coordinate daily workloads, meet critical operational targets, and fulfill customer order timelines.
• Perform basic diagnostic troubleshooting on failing or underperforming mechanical assemblies to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.

Preferred & Advanced Responsibilities

• Assist with setup, stock loading/unloading, basic sequence operation, and post-process cleaning on CNC machinery for parts production and component alterations.
• Perform basic manual welding and metal preparation tasks, including grinding, cutting, and fitting fabricated parts.
• Assist withmechanical retrofits, structural modifications and equipment rebuilds.

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes
• manual lifting up to 75lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
