Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair packaging equipment and facility support systems in a manufacturing setting. You will rely on prints, schematics, and preventive maintenance sheets to keep lines running safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of maintenance experience, knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems, and is capable of working overtime and weekends when required.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical background with ability to read schematics and pneumatics/hydraulics.
• Comfortable lifting up to 55 pounds and performing changeovers for production lines.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
• Dismantle, repair, and replace parts such as motors, gearboxes, bearings, and electrical units.
• Set up lines, perform changeovers, and prepare equipment for production runs.
• Follow safety policies and participate in special projects as needed.

Maintenance TechnicianMaintenance Mechanic$2000 sign on bonus paid at 30 days.Overtime AvailableMust have maintenance experience in a Manufacturing environment!!!!The successful candidate will have a strong electrical and mechanical background. Primary responsibilities for this position include troubleshooting and repair of industrial packaging equipment, and repair of facilities support equipment, all with a high priority on maintenance and safety. Work from daily job assignments, prints, schematics, wiring diagrams, facility check sheet, machine manuals, sketches, preventive maintenance sheets and instructions.Key Responsibilities:Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic componentsTear down equipment, rebuild and replace defective parts and component units such as: motors, gear boxes, clutches, bearings, and electrical units, reassemble and make final equipment adjustmentsAbility to work well with all levels of personnel individually or in a team environmentDuties and Responsibilities:Simplify and improve changeover proceduresAssist Line Workers in the changeover processSetup fill lines for production runsPerform changeovers and setups on assigned equipment and/or linesRepair machinery and related equipmentDismantle defective equipment and install new or repaired partsTroubleshootingAdhere to and promote all safety policies and procedures including personal protective equipment (PPE)Assist supervisor with the operation of all the production linesInteract with various levels of senior management and managementParticipate in special projects, meetings and/or other duties as assigned.Equipment to be familiar with:Carton erectors, carton sealers, liquid fillers, case packers, palletizers, cappers, conveyors, labelers, ect…..The ideal candidate will also have blow molding experience with either Uniloy or Bekum blowmolders.Job Type: Full-timeRequirements:Core Skills and Qualifications:Three (3) years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systemsBasic knowledge of electrical systemsAbility to provide a set of basic mechanic's hand tools to functionAbility to work overtime, when necessary, Ability to work weekends when requiredAble to lift up to 55 pounds, good visual accuracy, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyWorking knowledge of electricity both AC 480-120v and DC 180-low voltage controls.Good troubleshooting skills in electricity and mechanical (Pneumatic, gearboxes, hydraulic and cam type).Self-starter who works well under fast-paced conditions.Able to be on their feet for long periods of time 80-90% of shift walking and answering calls.3+ years of mechanical maintenance experience as well as knowledge of production equipment mechanical operations in manufacturing environmentThe ability to lift and move 40lbs-60lbsProblem solving and troubleshooting skillsThe ability to meet fast-paced goals and standardsYou should be proficient in:Electrical TroubleshootingElectrical RepairElectrical / Electronic SystemsPneumatics TroubleshootingMaintenance and Repair SkillsHydraulic Systems & ComponentsElectrical Schematic ReadingEquipment InstallationBlow Molding ExperienceBlueprint ReadingCase BindingMachines & technologies you'll use:Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) (Allen Bradley, Siemens)
