Job summary

Mount Franklin Food in El Paso, TX is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to set up, adjust, and maintain packaging and production equipment. You will monitor plant operations, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and perform preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to GMPs in Maintenance, Production and Sanitation.
• Ensure compliance with all quality and safety standards for food production.
• Provide repairs on equipment for Maintenance, Production, Sanitation and Warehouse.
• Inspect used parts to determine dimensional changes and replace defective parts.
• Set up and operate lathe, drill press and grinder to make/repair parts.
• Initiate purchase orders for parts and machines and repair electrical equipment.
• Analyze mechanical/electrical problems and take corrective action; test equipment after repairs.

Primary Purpose of this PositionSet up, adjust, and maintain assigned equipment with responsibility for production and quality on this equipment. Monitor all systems during plant operations. Analyze and correct technical and mechanical problems and repair and overhaul equipment and controls. Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.
