Acacia Care Rehab and Nursing Center in West Orange, NJ is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to ensure a safe, clean, and well-functioning facility for residents, staff, and visitors. The role requires 2+ years of maintenance experience, wallpaper removal and drywall finishing, and proficiency with basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.

The position is full-time, with daytime hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance, remodeling, construction, or a related field.
• Experience removing wallpaper and finishing drywall.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Able to use hand and power tools.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn facility systems.
• Must be available to work weekends as needed.

Responsabilités

• Complete daily maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and general building repairs.
• Conduct routine building inspections and identify maintenance needs.
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
• Handle minor carpentry, painting, flooring, and repair projects.
• Replace HVAC filters and assist with routine HVAC maintenance.
• Safely operate hand and power tools.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and staff.
• Maintain facility grounds and ensure a safe environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and facility policies.

Acacia Care Rehab and Nursing Center is seeking a reliable and experienced Maintenance Technician to help maintain a safe, clean, secure, and well-functioning facility for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete daily maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and general building repairs.
• Conduct routine building inspections and identify maintenance needs.
