Acacia Care Rehab and Nursing Center in West Orange, NJ, is looking for a reliable Maintenance Technician to ensure the facility is safe, clean, and well-maintained for everyone. This full-time role requires the completion of maintenance work orders, basic repairs, and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of maintenance experience, knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems, and the ability to operate hand tools safely.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance, remodeling, or related field.
• Experience removing wallpaper and finishing drywall.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and general building repairs.
• Conduct routine building inspections and identify maintenance needs.
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
• Handle minor carpentry, painting, flooring, and repair projects.
• Replace HVAC filters and assist with routine HVAC maintenance.
• Safely operate hand and power tools.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and staff.
• Maintain facility grounds and ensure a safe environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and facility policies.

Location: West Orange, NJ
Schedule: Full-Time | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $21–$25 per hour

Acacia Care Rehab and Nursing Center is seeking a reliable and experienced Maintenance Technician to help maintain a safe, clean, secure, and well-functioning facility for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete daily maintenance work orders in a timely manner.

• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and general building repairs.

• Conduct routine building inspections and identify maintenance needs.

• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.

• Handle minor carpentry, painting, flooring, and repair projects.

• Replace HVAC filters and assist with routine HVAC maintenance.

• Safely operate hand and power tools.
