Job summary

LR Management Services in Michigan is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician with apartment maintenance experience to join our team. You will perform general upkeep, respond to resident service requests, and help keep our properties safe and well-maintained.

This role requires 1–3 years of experience, a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and flexibility to work weekends or be on-call.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of verifiable general maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and on-call availability.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in.
• Repairing and improving vacant and occupied apartments.
• Completing resident service requests in a timely manner.
• Carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks.
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks.
• Conducting move in/move out inspections.
• Maintaining inventory for required parts.
• Keeping service shop clean and organized.
• Maintaining property indoor common areas cleanliness.
• Maintaining well-groomed grounds and building exteriors including trash pickup and snow removal.
• Adhering to policies related to fair housing.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in
• Repairing and improving vacant and occupied apartments
• Completing resident service requests in a timely manner
• Accomplishing carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks
• Conducting move in/move out inspections
• Ensuring an adequate inventory level for required parts
• Ensuring service shop is clean and organized
• Assisting in the maintenance and cleanliness of the property’s indoor common areas
• Maintaining well-groomed grounds and building exteriors including, but not limited, to trash pickup and snow removal
• Adhering to established policies related to fair housing
