Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for our Prophetstown facility. This on-site, permanent role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment used in precision metal components and tooling.

The ideal candidate will perform preventive maintenance on CNC machines and fabrication equipment, read schematics, and collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Familiarity with CNC machines, machining equipment, or metal fabrication equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues on manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain CNC machines, machining centers, welding equipment, grinders, and other production machinery.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot motors, drives, sensors, conveyors, and industrial control systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues.
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO).
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment at our facility in Prophetstown, IL. This is a hands-on position supporting precision machining, metal fabrication, and production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and experience maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment.

• Previous industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
• Experience working with CNC machines, machining equipment, or metal fabrication equipment preferred
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, drives, and electrical controls
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Commitment to workplace safety, equipment reliability, and preventive maintenance
