Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for South Holland, IL. This on-site, permanent role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining high-volume packaging equipment, motors, pumps, refrigeration and PLC-controlled systems.

You will read schematics and blueprints, perform preventive maintenance, and support equipment installation and relocation as needed. Requires 4+ years in industrial maintenance and experience with automated packaging equipment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial maintenance, mechanical, and/or electrical experience preferred.
• Experience with automated packaging or processing equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical production equipment.
• Diagnosis of electrical systems and replacement of failed components.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and equipment drawings.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and understand ladder logic.
• Service and repair electric motors, pumps, refrigeration equipment, heaters, coolers, and related systems.
• Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Troubleshoot packaging and processing machinery.
• Fabricate, assemble, repair, and test machine components as needed.
• Assist with equipment installation and relocation.
• Use hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other maintenance equipment.
• Document repairs and equipment conditions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to support a high-volume manufacturing and packaging operation. This position will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and packaging equipment to minimize downtime and keep the facility operating safely and efficiently.

This is an excellent opportunity for a well‑rounded maintenance professional with both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial maintenance, mechanical, and/or electrical experience preferred.
• Manufacturing or production maintenance experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with automated packaging or processing equipment is a plus.
• Working knowledge of PLC ladder logic and industrial electrical systems.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with motors, pumps, electrical components, and production machinery.
• Ability to read schematics, drawings, and blueprints.
• Technical or vocational training in electrical or mechanical maintenance is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as required.
• Comfortable working in refrigerated areas of 40°F or below.
• Able to meet the physical requirements of a hands‑on maintenance position.
