Job summary

Brookside Properties in Oxford, MS is seeking a proactive Maintenance Technician to lead day-to-day operations at Anderson Estates, a 49-home community. This is a hands-on role with ownership of maintenance outcomes and opportunities for growth within a tight-knit team.

You’ll diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry tasks, perform make-readies, respond to after-hours calls, and supervise the maintenance team as needed, ensuring rapid response and high resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of multifamily maintenance experience.
• Strong HVAC experience.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification strongly preferred.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to respond to after-hours maintenance needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day maintenance operations for the community.
• Complete service requests, preventative maintenance, and apartment make-readies.
• Respond to emergency and after-hours maintenance calls.
• Coordinate vendors and assist with maintenance team oversight.
• Maintain inventory, supplies, and equipment.
• Help ensure the property remains safe, clean, and well-maintained.
• Follow OSHA, EPA, Fair Housing, and company policies.
• Deliver professional, responsive service to residents.
• Take ownership of the physical condition and overall appearance of the community.
