Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas in Owatonna, MN seeks a Maintenance Supervisor for the 2nd shift to oversee facilities, maintenance and electrical technicians. You will coordinate repairs, preventive maintenance, and safety programs to ensure continuous production and safe operation.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Equivalent in a related field.
• 3+ years of related experience/training.
• 1+ year of supervisory experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Supervises facilities, maintenance and electrical technicians engaged in equipment installation, troubleshooting and repair, and preventative maintenance.
• Coordinates scheduling of repairs, maintenance, and installation to ensure continuous production operations.
• Supports development and oversight of preventive maintenance programs with Production management.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA regulations and provides technical guidance on equipment standards.
• Responds to emergencies and supports after-hours facility needs as required.
• Leads emergency response activities and coordinates with outside teams as needed.
• Ensures adherence to company safety procedures at all times.

Education

Associate’s Degree or Equivalent in a related field

3+ years of related experience/training

1+ year of supervisory experience

Location: Owatonna, MN

Shift: 2nd shift, Monday - Friday

Your Responsibilities

• Supervises facilities, maintenance and electrical technicians engaged in equipment installation, equipment troubleshooting and repair, building and grounds maintenance, and preventative maintenance
• May supervise tool room employees
• Collaborates with management to schedule repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations
• Collaborates with site management to plan equipment layout, workflow, and accident prevention measures to maintain effective and safe utilization of plant facilities and equipment
• Develops and oversees preventive maintenance program and coordinates implementation with Production management
• Provides technical expertise to ensure equipment meets operational standards and is in conformance with OSHA regulations
• May oversee or coordinate facility communication and/or security systems
• Completes employee performance evaluations and has the ability to address performance related matters
• Reviews and Closes completed work orders to proper standards in maintenance management software
• Responds to emergencies and supports after hours facility needs and activities as required
• Participates as a lead of the emergency response team. Assist outside emergency response teams
• Observes, complies with and holds team accountable to Company safety procedures at all times

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $73,300.00 - $120,700.00 in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
