Job summary

Daikin Applied is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Faribault, MN. Under limited supervision, you will inspect and repair site machinery to ensure efficient operations, fabricate replacement parts, and support a safe, reliable facility.

Typical duties include preventive maintenance, PLC/VFD/HMI work, diagnosing root causes of equipment failures, and maintaining repair records. Training with contractors and safety compliance are expected as part of this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Must obtain and maintain PIT certification.
• Must obtain and maintain First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and controls; replaces/repairs defective components.
• Works with PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and related control systems.
• Diagnoses equipment breakdowns with operators and determines root causes.
• Performs electrical troubleshooting and tests faulty equipment.
• Trains with contractors or outside equipment reps as needed.
• Maintains records of repairs and work orders.
• Observes safety procedures at all times.
• Participates in emergency response as needed.

What you will do:

• Performs preventive maintenance onequipment
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments and replaces/repairs defective components orequipment
• Performs work involving programmable logic controllers (PLC’s), Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s), Human Interface Modules (HMI’s), etc.
• May have to work with equipment operators to diagnose equipment breakdowns, and todeterminerootcause
• Tests faulty equipment, performs basic electrical troubleshooting, and applies knowledge of functional operation of electronics and equipment to diagnose the cause of themalfunction
• Trains with contractors or outside equipment representatives asneeded
• Submits purchase order requisitions forparts
• Maintains records of repairs and work orderscompleted
• Moves and sets up workstations/offices
• Troubleshoots and repairs minor maintenance problems involving facility, electrical, andplumbing
• Participates as part of the emergency response team.
• Mayassistoutside emergency responseteams
• May provide work training to less experienced maintenancestaff
• Observes and complies with Company safety procedures at alltimes

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.

The typical hourly pay rate for this position ranges from 31.73 - 52.29 in Minnesota. The range displayedrepresentsthe pay range for all positions in the jobgradewhich this position falls.
