Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Adjusts parts of devices and control instruments and replaces defective components.
• Works with PLCs, VFDs, HMIs and tests equipment for faults.
• Diagnoses root causes with operators and technicians.
• Trains with contractors or outside equipment representatives as needed.
• Submits purchase order requisitions for parts.
• Maintains records of repairs and work orders.
• Moves and sets up workstations/offices.
• Troubleshoots minor maintenance problems in facilities, electrical, and plumbing.
• Participates in the emergency response team.
• May assist outside emergency response teams.
• May train less experienced maintenance staff.
• Observes safety procedures at all times.

Under limited supervision and with minimal technical guidance, this position keeps site machinery and mechanical equipment in good repair. Examines machines to diagnose trouble, dismantles machines, replaces defective parts, reassembles machines and makes necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operations. Fabricates or modifies replacement parts.
