Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, solid general repair experience, and the ability to work independently while supporting a team-focused environment. Key Responsibilities

• Perform general building, facility, and property maintenance, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and general maintenance issues.
• Respond to maintenance requests, prioritize repairs, and complete work in a timely and professional manner.
• Handle basic carpentry, painting, drywall, fixtures, equipment, grounds, and other general repair tasks.
• Coordinate with vendors or outside contractors when needed and maintain accurate records of completed work.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay: $22.00 to $28.00 per hour, depending on experience.
• Schedule: Full-time, primarily Monday through Friday.
• Job Type: Temp-to-hire.
• Location: Overland Park, KS and Kansas City metro opportunities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Perform day‑to‑day maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work for buildings, facilities, or properties.
• Complete preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and maintenance request follow‑up.
• Support safe, efficient property operations through timely repairs and professional communication.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and basic trade knowledge to complete general maintenance tasks.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in maintenance, facilities, property maintenance, apartment maintenance, or a similar hands‑on role.
• Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and general building maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, and comfort using hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and respond professionally to maintenance needs.
• Reliable communication skills when working with coworkers, tenants, customers, vendors, or contractors.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical work throughout the day.
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on the opportunity.

Preferred Qualifications

• HVAC, EPA, OSHA, electrical, or other trade‑related certifications are a plus.
• Experience in real estate, property management, apartment maintenance, or commercial facility maintenance is preferred.
• Prior experience coordinating with vendors or outside contractors is helpful.
