Job summary

Flaherty & Collins Properties is hiring a Maintenance Technician for Ninety7Fifty On The Park in Orland Park, IL. This full-time role requires hands-on maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems to keep our property in top condition.

You’ll perform routine tasks, troubleshoot issues, address resident requests, and participate in on-call rotations, including occasional after-hours and weekend coverage, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• HVAC/EPA certifications or similar credentials a plus.
• Hands-on maintenance experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and repairs.
• Team player with good communication and attention to detail.
• Flexible and able to handle after-hours or weekend emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance to keep systems in excellent condition.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems.
• Address and resolve resident maintenance requests promptly.
• Conduct property inspections to identify maintenance needs early.
• Assist with apartment turnovers and move-ins.
• Respond to emergency maintenance and participate in on-call rotation.

What You'll Do:

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring all property systems and equipment are in excellent working condition.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems as needed.
• Address and resolve resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Conduct property inspections to identify and address maintenance needs proactively.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to prioritize and complete work orders efficiently.
• Ensure the property meets safety standards and complies with applicable regulations.
• Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with apartment turnovers, ensuring units are move-in ready for new residents.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues, including after-hours calls when necessary.
• Perform snow and ice removal.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies. Weekend work is required as needed.
• Physical tasks are required, along with other duties as assigned.
