Job summary

SGB-SMIT USA, a division of a global transformer manufacturer, is hiring a maintenance technician to repair and maintain electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems in our Oklahoma City plant. You will help set up new machines and support upgrades to ensure efficient production.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Training in a technical discipline or trade school preferred.
• Military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and preventative maintenance of equipment in a manufacturing environment and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose and repair power transmission equipment and perform pump and pipe fitting as needed.
• Assist in setting up new machines and implementing upgrades to support manufacturing processes; maintain plant electrical systems.
• Maintain maintenance records; service forklifts and other gas/electric motorized equipment.
• Collaborate with the General Manager and Maintenance Supervisor to meet deadlines.

Your tasks

• Oven Repair Experience Desired.
• Perform repair/preventative maintenance of equipment in a manufacturing environment and troubleshoot and repair electric, air systems, and hydraulic mechanical systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanic drives and power transmission equipment and perform pump repair and pipe fitting as required.
• Help set up new machines implement upgrades to support the manufacturing process and maintain all plant electrical systems.
• Perform maintenance on forklifts, manlifts and various other gas and electrical motorized equipment and maintain all maintenance related records.
• Work with General Manager and Maintenance Supervisor to meet deadlines.

Your profile

• High School Diploma or GED REQUIRED.
• Training in a Technical discipline, trade school or electrical theory education preferred.
• Military experience a plus.
• 3 years’ experience in repairing and maintaining electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical systems and performing preventive maintenance programs; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Ability to pass nationwide background check and drug screen.
• Ability to find creative solutions to complex problems.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
