Job summary

West Point Dairy Products, Inc. is seeking a maintenance mechanic to ensure continuous operation of engines, motors, conveyors and production equipment. You will follow diagrams, manuals and specs to troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance.

This role requires performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs, operating forklifts and other equipment, and occasionally backing up to other departments as needed. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Experience with preventive maintenance on industrial machinery.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with safety, quality assurance practices.

Responsibilities

• Follow good manufacturing, safety, and quality assurance practices.
• Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Powered industrial vehicle operations which may include forklifts, scissor lifts, and floor scrubbers.
• On occasion may need to backfill to other positions/departments as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Description: Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

Summary Of Pay

Compensation for this position ranges from $33.00 to $ 34.32, based on education, experience, and relevant qualifications will be taken into consideration.
