Job summary

Express Employment Professionals in Wisconsin is seeking a Maintenance Technician to safely operate and repair a variety of mechanical and electrical systems in a manufacturing setting. You will troubleshoot pumps, motors, drives, and hydraulic equipment while following strict safety policies and producing quality workmanship.

The role requires 2 years of maintenance experience or 2 years of technical training, with proficiency in hand tools and PLC/HVAC awareness.

Qualifications

• 2 years of mechanical, millwright, or manufacturing maintenance experience or 2 years of relevant technical training (preferred).
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to diagnose and repair industrial equipment.
• General knowledge of PLC controls, motor controls, and HVAC systems (preferred but not required).
• Proficient use of hand tools and basic shop equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and quality workmanship.
• Effective communication skills in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a variety of hand and power tools.
• Follow and uphold OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies.
• Work collaboratively with production employees, contractors, and other maintenance personnel.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing pumps, 440V 3‑phase electrical systems, motors, drives, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic equipment.
• Identify required parts and materials for maintenance tasks and communicate needs to the Shop Superintendent.
• Read, interpret, and work from standard prints, schematics, and written instructions.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment and facility systems.
• Respond to urgent maintenance needs, including occasional off-shift or weekend work.
• Complete general maintenance tasks such as housekeeping, painting, and other duties as assigned by supervision.
• Work independently or as part of a team, completing tasks with minimal supervision when required.
• Utilize basic computer applications (Word, Excel) for documentation, reporting, and communication.

Hours:Monday - Thursday, 5:00am - 3:00pm

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00/HR
