Job summary

HEXPOL in Wisconsin is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, repair, and maintain production and facility systems. You will design and program PLCs, perform PM rounds, diagnose issues, and manage parts and supplies.

The role requires reading blueprints, understanding hydraulics, electrical and mechanical systems, and strong problem-solving abilities. A high school diploma and 3 years of industrial maintenance are preferred; a technical degree is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is desired; Associate/Technical degree preferred.
  • Three years industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, service manuals and maintenance records.
  • Understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, electrical and electronic control systems, pneumatics, HVAC, rubber industry production equipment, internal combustion engines, single and three phase electric motors.
  • Requires the ability to perform basic math (i.e., addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Strong computer skills – MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook). Familiarity with E-Maintenance is a plus.
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong cooperation and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, maintain, move, align, erect, or install production/facility/electrical equipment.
  • Design, program, repair and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) Systems.
  • Complete work orders, PM rounds, repairs, and general maintenance.
  • Diagnose trouble and determine extent of repairs necessary; repair, refit, or replace parts.
  • Reorder supplies and equipment, as needed.
  • Lay out carpentry work and specify materials; includes finishing and masonry work.
  • Notify Supervisor or designated personnel of any irregularities or problems encountered with supplies, machinery, or processes.
  • Participate in training sessions, seminars, and continual improvement opportunities.
  • Safety is a personal responsibility; verify that area and equipment are safe before proceeding with duties.
  • Check all safety equipment; follow all facility safety rules and procedures; wear all PPE required.
  • Lock-out/Tag-out procedures must be adhered to when equipment is down for repair or cleaning.
  • Ability to clean tools and maintain identified tool boards while keeping workstation and surrounding area clean and organized.
  • Keep equipment in safe operating condition, report problems to Maintenance department.
  • Participate in training of new Associates as directed by the Supervisor
  • Perform any other project/task as assigned by Management.

Overview

Hours: Monday - Friday 5:15am-1:30pm w/ OT as required.

To maintain production machinery and mechanical equipment in proper repair and working condition according to schedule,fabricating basic machine parts and mechanical equipment parts and providing replacement parts. To install, test, service, troubleshoot and repair all facility electrical equipment and systems

Responsibilities

This work may be performedfrom written/verbal instructions, drawings, samples, or sketches, often to close tolerances. This work may be performed usinghand tools, power tools and electrical maintenance knowledge.
