Job summary

Express Employment Professionals, Appleton WI is seeking a facility maintenance technician with 2-4 years of experience to perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs to electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

You will support warehouse operations, coordinate resources, maintain logs, and ensure safety and quality workmanship while contributing to a clean, safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of facility equipment and building systems for safe operation.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks on equipment and infrastructure.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
• Conduct general facility maintenance including painting, carpentry, and basic plumbing.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of equipment for meetings and events.
• Support warehouse operations by addressing maintenance requests.
• Coordinate resources and prioritize work to minimize disruptions.
• Maintain logs, work orders, and repair documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and maintain a clean, safe environment.

Hours

Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

Pay

$23.00 - $27.00/HR

Duties

• Perform routine inspections of facility equipment, systems, and building components to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks on equipment and facility infrastructure.
• Diagnose and perform minor repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
• Conduct general facility maintenance, including painting, carpentry, and basic plumbing repairs.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment, furniture, and materials for meetings, events, and company functions.
• Support warehouse operations by addressing facility-related maintenance requests and concerns.
• Coordinate maintenance resources and prioritize work to minimize disruptions to operations.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and other departments to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
• Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and repair documentation as required.
• Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform additional maintenance and facility-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience required; 2-4 years of facility maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience performing general building maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other departments.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic required.
