Job summary

The Union Station Nashville Yards, Autograph Collection is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep guest rooms, facilities, and amenities in peak condition. You will handle routine maintenance, assist with HVAC, electrical and plumbing tasks, and ensure safety and efficiency across the property.

Minimum 1 year hands-on experience in hotel or commercial facility maintenance is required. High School Diploma or equivalent; technical maintenance training is a plus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance or repair experience in a hotel, commercial building, or similar environment.
• Familiarity with hotel systems and preventative maintenance practices.
• Ability to read and follow maintenance procedures and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hotel, pool, and surrounding areas with routine maintenance tasks using hand tools.
• Notify management about major repairs or additions to equipment.
• Respond to guest requests for service and keep records of work performed.
• Program hotel systems or phone equipment as needed.
• Monitor equipment and utility readings daily.

The Maintenance Technician will directly impact the guest experience by ensuring that all physical aspects of the hotel—rooms, amenities, and facilities—are operating at peak performance. From resolving in-room issues to keeping systems like HVAC and lighting running smoothly, your hands-on approach and attention to detail will help create a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment that enhances the overall guest stay and supports long-term operational efficiency.

How You’ll Shape The Experience & Future

• Maintain hotel, pool, and surrounding area, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, HVAC functions, and other related maintenance activities, using hand tools.
• Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Respond to guest requests for service according to company policy. Keep records of rooms completed.
• Program phone equipment according to hotel needs.
• Observe equipment and utility meter readings on a daily basis.
• Stay accessible to Front Desk and Chief Engineer.
• Maintain files of Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Ensure par stocking of regularly used parts and supplies.
• Learn emergency procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Professional Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of hands-on maintenance or repair experience in a hotel, commercial building, or similar environment.

Experience With

• Routine upkeep of hotel facilities, pool areas, and public spaces.
• Monitoring daily equipment operations and utility meter readings.
• Programming and maintaining hotel systems.
• Managing small inventories of tools and maintenance parts.
• Documenting completed repairs and guest service tasks.

Academic Background

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training or coursework in general maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related fields is a plus.
