Goodwin Recruiting seeks an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, and repair mechanical and electrical systems to keep production running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in manufacturing, knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, drives, and the ability to read schematics. Safety-first mindset and CMMS experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong understanding of mechanical drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial electricity.
• High School Diploma/GED required; Journeyman license or technical certification a plus.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely at heights or in tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment on production lines.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on motors, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, and automation.
• Read schematics and work with industrial controls and motor drives.
• Conduct basic PLC diagnostics and troubleshoot automation faults.
• Follow safety procedures including LOTO and OSHA regulations; maintain CMMS logs.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will keep our production lines running smoothly by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting unexpected breakdowns, and executing mechanical and electrical repairs on industrial equipment. You will play a critical part in minimizing downtime, maintaining plant safety, and optimizing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment failures on high-speed production lines.
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine PM inspections on motors, gearboxes, pumps, conveyor systems, air compressors, and automated machinery according to scheduled work orders.
• Electrical Systems: Read schematics and work safely with industrial controls, three-phase power systems (up to 480V), sensors, relays, and motor drives.
• PLC Maintenance: Perform basic diagnostic checks and troubleshooting on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to identify automation faults.
• Safety & Compliance: Strictly follow safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc flash standards, OSHA regulations, and company safety guidelines.
• Record Keeping: Document all completed work orders, parts inventory usage, and equipment logs within our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of mechanical drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial electricity.
• Certifications/Education: High School Diploma/GED required. Journeyman license, Associate degree, or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance or Mechatronics is a strong plus.
• Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work safely at heights or in tight spaces as required.
