Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure reliable operation of manufacturing equipment and plant utilities. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and support continuous production while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills; able to read schematics.
  • Experience diagnosing complex equipment issues and implementing timely repairs.
  • Knowledge of lockout/tagout, NFPA 70E, and safety practices; OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools, meters, and CMMS software.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, overtime, and respond to after-hours emergencies.
  • Good communication and collaboration with production, engineering, and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment, conveyors, and facility systems to minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Diagnose, program, and troubleshoot PLCs and related control systems; collaborate with electricians and controls engineers on complex issues.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform timely corrective repairs to restore production operations.
  • Interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to guide repair and installation work.
  • Install, commission, and calibrate new equipment and retrofit existing machines as needed.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, complete work orders, and report equipment status to supervision.
  • Conduct safety inspections, follow lockout/tagout procedures, and ensure compliance with company and regulatory safety standards.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, recommend parts replacement, and work with purchasing to procure critical components.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and production efficiency.
