Job summary

The Mill at Ironworks Plaza in Mishawaka, IN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance on property systems, troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing and electrical issues, and address resident requests with professionalism.

Qualifications

• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs experience.
• Hands-on maintenance background in property management or similar setting.
• Willingness to learn and grow; team player with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on property systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems.
• Address resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Conduct property inspections and address maintenance needs proactively.
• Participate in on-call rotation; weekend work required.
• Assist with snow and ice removal.
• Respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies.
• Maintain organized inventory of tools and supplies.

What You'll Do:

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring all property systems and equipment are in excellent working condition.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems as needed.
• Address and resolve resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Conduct property inspections to identify and address maintenance needs proactively.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to prioritize and complete work orders efficiently.
• Ensure the property meets safety standards and complies with applicable regulations.
• Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with apartment turnovers, ensuring units are move-in ready for new residents.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues, including after-hours calls when necessary.
• Perform snow and ice removal.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies. Weekend work is required as needed.
• Physical tasks are required, along with other duties as assigned.

• HVAC/EPA certifications or similar credentials are a plus, along with a willingness to learn and grow.
• You have hands-on experience in maintenance, with skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
