You will work with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and mechanical components, read blueprints, and use diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Technician - 1st ShiftJob SummarySeidel Tanning Corp is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for first shift. In this role you will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the industrial equipment and systems throughout our Milwaukee manufacturing facility. Your work will keep production running, minimize downtime, and support safety standards across all maintenance activities. This is a union position covered by our collective bargaining agreement with UFCW 1473DutiesPerform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components.Maintain and repair leather processing equipment including splitters, shavers, wringers, coloring drums, and paste, toggle, and vacuum drying systems.Troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics, blueprints, and diagnostic tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters.Service drive systems including motors, gearboxes, couplings, bearings, and seals; perform precision alignments.Maintain air compressors, pumps, and wastewater treatment equipment including mixers and chemical dosing systems.Repair or replace faulty components using welding and fabrication skills, precision measuring instruments, and industrial mechanic techniques.Operate scissor lifts and other equipment for elevated maintenance tasks while adhering to safety protocols.Industrial electrical experience is a plus.
