Storm-Search- is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 1st or 2nd shift in Brown Deer, WI. The role involves preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of industrial machinery. Eligible applicants may receive a sign-on bonus up to $2,500. Pay ranges from $28 to $38 per hour, depending on experience. A manufacturing background and PLC familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HSED equivalent required.
• 2–5 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose equipment issues by observing operations and using precision instruments.
• Remove and replace defective components using hoists, cranes, and tools.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment and machinist skills.
• Adjust functional parts and control instruments to specs.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Operate equipment such as electric carts, forklifts, boom lifts, and manlifts.

• Shift: 1st or 2nd shift
• Pay: $28-$38/hour
• Sign-On Bonus: Up to $2,500

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on machinery and mechanical equipment
• Diagnose equipment issues by observing operations, listening for irregularities, and using precision measuring/testing instruments
• Remove and replace defective components using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment and basic machinist skills
• Adjust functional parts and control instruments to manufacturer or company specifications
• Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules with supervisors and technicians to minimize downtime
• Operate equipment such as:
  • Electric carts
  • Forklifts
  • Articulating boom lifts
  • Manlifts

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong computer skills
• Electrical knowledge; PLC experience is a plus
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills including:
  • Gearbox rebuilds
  • Belt replacement
  • Motor replacement
  • Conveyor system experience
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Plumbing experience
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to safely perform all job duties

Education & Experience
