Job summary
Seidel Tanning Corp in Milwaukee seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician for first shift to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment across our leather processing facility. This union role supports safety standards and production uptime by performing inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs as needed.
You will work with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and mechanical components, read blueprints, and use diagnostic tools.
Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing facility with strong industrial maintenance skills.
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints for complex systems.
- Welding and fabrication skills with precision measuring instruments.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Repair or replace faulty components; service drive systems, motors, gearboxes, and seals.
- Operate scissor lifts and follow safety protocols; document work orders and maintenance history.
- Assist with PLC troubleshooting and control circuit work as needed.
