Job summary

GCI Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Blu Aventura, a luxury lease-up community in Aventura, FL. Help ensure a safe, well-maintained, and welcoming environment for residents as you support a brand-new community from the ground up.

You will perform repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, pool maintenance, and exteriors. The role requires 2+ years in multifamily maintenance, strong problem-solving, and a commitment to resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in multifamily apartment maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry items.
• Strong customer service mindset to meet resident needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the community appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the grounds.
• Respond promptly to resident service requests with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Perform apartment turns and repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, pool, and exteriors.
• Partner with the Maintenance Supervisor to uphold community standards and resident experience.
• Contribute to a positive team environment focused on service quality and excellence.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain the overall appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the community and grounds.
• Respond promptly and professionally to resident service requests using strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Perform apartment turns and complete repairs related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, pool maintenance, and building exteriors.
• Partner with the Maintenance Supervisor to uphold community standards and create an exceptional resident experience.
• Contribute to a positive team environment focused on quality service and operational excellence.

RequirementsWhat we need:

• A minimum of 2 years in multifamily apartment maintenance
• Knowledge and experience repairing plumbing, electrical, carpentry items, building exteriors and appliances
• Dedication to exceeding the needs of all customers with an ability to build and maintain relationships
• Demonstrate thoroughness, self-motivation and organization when accomplishing tasks
• Ability to work a non-traditional schedule including evenings, weekends and on-call hours

Education, Licenses, And Certifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• EPA certification (or willingness to obtain) and substantial experience in making HVAC related repairs
