GCI Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Legacy Patriots Point, a newly opened luxury community in Charleston, SC. You’ll keep the grounds safe and well-maintained, respond to resident requests, and perform repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and more.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in multifamily apartment maintenance.
• Experience repairing plumbing, electrical, carpentry items, exteriors and appliances.
• Ability to work non-traditional schedule including evenings, weekends and on-call hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the community and grounds.
• Respond promptly to resident service requests with troubleshooting.
• Perform apartment turns and repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, pool, exteriors.
• Partner with Maintenance Supervisor to uphold standards and resident experience.
• Contribute to a positive team environment with quality service and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain the overall appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the community and grounds.
• Respond promptly and professionally to resident service requests using strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Perform apartment turns and complete repairs related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, pool maintenance, and building exteriors.
• Partner with the Maintenance Supervisor to uphold community standards and create an exceptional resident experience.
• Contribute to a positive team environment focused on quality service and operational excellence.

Requirements

What we need:

• A minimum of 2 years in multifamily apartment maintenance
• Knowledge and experience repairing plumbing, electrical, carpentry items, building exteriors and appliances
• Dedication to exceeding the needs of all customers with an ability to build and maintain relationships
• Demonstrate thoroughness, self-motivation and organization when accomplishing tasks
• Ability to work a non-traditional schedule including evenings, weekends and on -call hours

Education, Licenses, and Certifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• EPA certification (or willingness to obtain) and substantial experience in making HVAC related repairs
