Job summary

Henkel in Mentor, OH, is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for second shift. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial mixing and filling equipment, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and ensure safe, reliable operation.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years in industrial maintenance, and experience with VFDs, PLCs, sensors, pumps, conveyors, and robotics. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; trade certification preferred.
  • 3+ years in industrial maintenance, preferably in food, beverage, or chemical manufacturing.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; ability to read schematics, blueprints, and manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance on mixing and filling equipment, conveyance systems, motors, pumps, and robotic systems.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
  • Conduct equipment inspections to identify wear or potential failures before production impact.
  • Support equipment changeovers, adjustments, and calibrations to meet production needs.
  • Maintain logs and documentation in the CMMS system.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
  • Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
  • Adhere to safety standards and LOTO procedures.

Shift

Modified 2nd Shift, Saturday (10:30pm - 6:30am), Tuesday - Friday (2:30pm -10:30pm)

What you´ll do
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday Second Shift
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial mixing and filling equipment, conveyance systems, motors, pumps, and robotic systems.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
  • Conduct equipment inspections to identify wear, leaks, or potential failures before they impact production.
  • Support equipment changeovers, adjustments, and calibrations to meet production needs.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation in the CMMS system.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
  • Adhere to all safety standards, LOTO procedures, and company maintenance policies.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and increase efficiency.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and organization in maintenance and production areas.
What makes you a good fit
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Technical or Trade School certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in food, beverage, or chemical manufacturing.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; ability to read schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
  • Experience with VFDs, PLCs, sensors, pumps, conveyors, and robotic systems.
  • Working knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and CMMS software.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

The hourly payrange for this role is $27.00-$35.00 + $1,000 Sign on bonus. This range reflects the good‑faith minimumand maximum hourly rate the Company reasonably expects to offer for thisposition at the time of posting. This role is classified as non‑exempt,and employees are eligible for overtime pay in accordance with federal, state,and local laws. In addition to the hourly wage, employees in this position maybe eligible for shift differentials, premium pay, bonuses, or other forms ofcompensation, depending on role and location. The Company also offers acomprehensive benefits package as described above. Actual compensation willdepend on factors such as the candidate’s skills, experience, training,certifications, and work location.
