Job summary

Randstad USA seeks an experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to oversee facility operations, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance for complex mechanical, electrical, and industrial systems. Immediate autonomy is required for this high-responsibility role.

Candidates should have at least 5 years of hands-on industrial/commercial maintenance experience, with strong PLC, VFD, hydraulics and electrical skills, and a proven safety record including OSHA/LOTO compliance.

Qualifications

• 5 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience.
• Electrical knowledge up to 480V 3-phase.
• Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read schematics/diagrams and perform diagnostics.
• Knowledge of OSHA/LOTO safety and local codes.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems to minimize downtime.
• Lead preventative and predictive maintenance on infrastructure and production machinery.
• Read schematics and troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, relay logic, and control systems.
• Serve as primary escalation point for outages and emergencies.
• Ensure OSHA, LOTO, arc flash safety compliance and best practices.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to oversee facility operations, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance for complex mechanical, electrical, and industrial systems.

Note on Qualifications: This is a high-responsibility role requiring immediate operational autonomy. Candidates with entry-level experience or less than 5 years of hands-on industrial/commercial maintenance experience will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Troubleshooting: Rapidly diagnose and repair complex hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical (up to 480V 3-phase), and mechanical system failures to minimize downtime.
• Preventative & Predictive Maintenance: Lead routine inspections, asset servicing, and failure analysis on critical infrastructure and production machinery.
• PLC & Automation Control: Read schematics, program/troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, relay logic, and automated control systems.
• Emergency Response: Serve as a primary technical escalation point for critical equipment outages and facility emergencies.
• Mentorship & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to OSHA, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc flash safety, and local building codes while guiding facility best practices.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 12 hours at one time
• working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
