Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the efficient upkeep of production machinery and the plant, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. The role requires hands-on diagnostic skills, on-call availability, and adherence to safety and environmental guidelines.

You will inspect equipment, perform scheduled maintenance on polyethylene film machinery, troubleshoot issues, and fabricate parts as needed while supporting a safe workplace and teamwork with colleagues across the facility.

Qualifications

  • Basic math skills required.
  • Previous knowledge of machinery used in polyethylene film manufacturing.
  • Welding skills.
  • 3–5 years in industrial maintenance, electrical or mechanical fields.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  • No fear of heights.
  • Basic manufacturing wiring experience.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Strategic thinker.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts regularly scheduled maintenance on production machinery and equipment to keep them in proper working condition.
  • Responsible for the daily maintenance operations of the facility.
  • Reports to the maintenance supervisor on issues, status and functions within the department.
  • On-call availability to assist with maintenance needs.
  • Diagnoses problems and repairs/replaces defective parts; fabricates as needed.
  • Supports and complies with safety and environmental guidelines.
