Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery to keep operations running smoothly and safely. The role requires strong electrical troubleshooting skills, PLC programming knowledge, and the ability to work across mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

You will support continuous improvement, be on-call in a rotation, and may install equipment and related utilities.

Qualifications

  • Must possess strong knowledge of electricity and electrical troubleshooting (single and three phase).
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and NEC guidelines per NFPA 70.
  • Able to read and troubleshoot electrical/mechanical schematics.
  • Proficient in Allen Bradley PLC programming protocols and software.
  • Experience with drive systems and AC/DC motors, VFD control and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and repair maintenance on production machinery to ensure continuous operation.
  • Work safely with required PPE and follow all safety rules and policies.
  • Assist in breakdowns and repairs including pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
  • Install equipment and utilities as needed, including conduit bending and wire pulling.
  • Train fellow team members and participate in plant improvement projects.
