Job summary

Amcor in Dallas, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain facilities and equipment. The role focuses on electrical, mechanical, welding, and control systems, with daily coordination with plant leadership to prioritize maintenance tasks.

Candidates should have strong troubleshooting skills, manufacturing experience, and the ability to work safely at heights. The position includes comprehensive benefits and a pathway to growth within Amcor.

Qualifications

  • Basic math and reading comprehension for quick diagnostics.
  • Clear English communication with Production and Maintenance teams.
  • Welding, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with complex manufacturing equipment and control wiring.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain variety of facilities, production and building equipment.
  • Maintain control and motor systems; diagnose and replace defective parts.
  • Perform welding and fabrication as needed and safe.
  • Communicate daily with Plant Manager and Warehouse Manager to set priorities for maintenance.
  • Drive 5S workplace organization across maintenance and warehousing operations.
  • Source parts for breakdowns and document CM/PM activities.
  • Aim to improve machine uptime with proper CM/PM and MaintainX records.
  • Other duties as assigned.
