Responsibilities

As a Permanent Maintenance Technician, you will be expected to

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure continuous operation.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, using schematics and technical drawings.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical controls, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Repair or replace defective parts in machinery such as motors, conveyors, and other types of machinery.
• Perform MIG welding tasks when necessary.
• Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance logs and reports to document work performed.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, and ensure a safe and clean work environment.
• Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and other personnel to identify, define, and solve developmental problems.
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the Engineering industry.
• Proven experience in machine maintenance, repair, mechanical maintenance, pneumatics, electrical troubleshooting, conveyor systems, and MIG.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
• Solid knowledge of hydraulic systems, machinery, wiring, and electrical controls.
• A strong understanding of motors and their components.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A high degree of mechanical aptitude and a keen eye for detail.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Certification or degree in a relevant field is preferred.
