Low Voltage Equipment Service Technician

Position Summary

Our team of Procedural Service Technicians build the foundation of trust and exceptional service support. They perform immediate equipment servicing, identify, quote, and coordinate service offerings to meet Customer needs. The successful incumbent performs effective on-site preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, equipment modification, and installation support on complex mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic units, primarily in hospital environments, under a highly regulated, time-sensitive environment. They provide Customers with basic information, pricing, and options, focusing on clear, proactive communication during all service phases to optimize Customer operations. This role requires high adaptability and sound judgment.

What You'll Do as a Procedural Service Technician
  • Drive Customer satisfaction through proactive communication and resolving issues expediently.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on STERIS Surgical product lines and related equipment, including disassembling, replacing, repairing parts, troubleshooting, adjusting, calibrating, and certifying equipment for use.
  • Perform Customer training and in-servicing, coordinate activities with relevant managers, and ensure a positive Customer experience during installations or conversions.
  • Utilize technology to perform administrative duties, including scheduling, documenting activities, communicating with Customers, troubleshooting, and maintaining logs and inventories.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with Customers, managers, and support teams, proactively responding to problems and recommending product enhancements.
  • Identify sales opportunities and communicate leads to management, acting as a positive ambassador for STERIS.
  • Follow hospital and operating room protocols, abide by all safety procedures, and assist with inventory procedures.
Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed

* High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, including 2 years in mechanical/technical fields.
* Customer and team engagement experience.
* Basic computer skills and effective communication skills.
* Valid driver's license and ability to meet background and physical requirements.
* Flexibility to work outside normal hours and travel as needed.
* Technical certifications or military experience may be considered.

Pay range: $47,750.00 - $66,937.50, with potential bonuses or commissions. Pay rates depend on experience, education, and other factors.
