Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Livonia, Michigan is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to install, service and repair industrial equipment and automation systems. The role covers electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical maintenance, plus preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

You will troubleshoot faults, read diagrams, operate test instruments, and support LEAN/5S standards while maintaining safe, reliable production, including robotics integration and machine tool operation.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical diagrams and prints.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and equipment uptime improvements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain machinery and equipment.
• Dismantle and replace defective parts; lubricate and adjust components.
• Install/repair electrical wiring, transformers and controls; lay out piping and hydraulics.
• Maintain 5S/HSE standards and complete work orders on schedule.
• Operate associated machine tools and support robotics/automation systems.

Job description

The principal purpose of this job description is to outline the roles and responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician. Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, piping, electrical systems, control systems, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, fabrication/welding, and performs preventive maintenance by performing the following duties.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIESVisually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machine.Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery.Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.Change light fixtures when necessary.Lays out, assembles, installs and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment.Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.Installs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricated machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.Troubleshooting of Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatics and mechanical equipment.
