Job summary

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints/schematics.
  • Manual dexterity for repairs and tool use.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and non-temperature-controlled environments.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machines and equipment (mills, blenders, conveyors, pulverizes, crushers).
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on machinery and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical components of PLCs and collaborate with engineers on electrical issues.
  • Use CMMS to enter, review, and close work orders and preventive maintenance orders.
  • Communicate downtime events, solutions, and lead times with the production team.
  • Maintain a clean work station and inventory of parts and tools.
  • Request quotes from vendors, order parts, inspect received parts for quality, and approve installation.
  • Serve as a maintenance expert and facilitate training as requested.
  • Comply with all safety protocols (PPE, lockout/tag out, confined spaces).

Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing and facility machinery. The focus is on preventative maintenance tasks and accurately diagnosing and repairing equipment.

  • Utilize CMMS to enter, review, and close work orders and preventative maintenance orders
  • Communicate downtime events, solutions, and lead times with the production team
  • Maintain a clean working station and inventory of parts and tools
  • Request quotes from vendors, order parts, inspect received parts for quality, and approve installation
  • Serve as an expert in all things maintenance-related and facilitate training as requested
  • Comply with all safety protocols (PPE, lockout/tag out, confined spaces)

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. periodically and climb ladders/platforms
  • Comfortability working in confined spaces and non-temperature-controlled environments
  • Employee must supply own hand tools
