Overview
Maintenance Technician
Maintenance Technicians troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment to ensure safe and efficient production operations. The role involves preventive maintenance, diagnosing and repairing equipment, and supporting facility infrastructure while upholding high safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose machine malfunctions and determine appropriate repair methods and replacement parts.
- Carry out repairs on machinery, equipment, and production systems in a timely manner.
- Test repaired equipment to verify successful repairs and proper functionality.
- Perform facility maintenance activities, including electrical, plumbing, painting, and general building repairs.
- Support occasional janitorial and facility upkeep activities as required.
- Comply with company quality, safety, and operational requirements.
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment as needed.
- Troubleshoot and repair CNC machines, laser cutters, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to support maintenance activities.
- Utilize maintenance tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices to support repair and installation work.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Perform other duties assigned based on workload and business needs.
Qualifications
- Have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Have a certificate in Industrial Technology or a related field (preferred).
- Have 3+ years of experience in a maintenance technician, maintenance mechanic, or millwright role.
- Experience working with and repairing CNC machines, laser cutters, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Intermediate math, reading, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to install, evaluate, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machines and complex industrial equipment.
- Experience installing, evaluating, and repairing pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to safely troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
- Experience operating maintenance tools and equipment, including welders, grinders, multimeters, drill presses, and saws.
- Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use maintenance-related systems and programs.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and safety.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with teams, supervisors, leadership, vendors, and visitors.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds safely.
- Willingness and flexibility to work overtime, alternative shifts, and weekends as required by business needs.
