FCI Residential, part of Florida Crystals Corporation’s real estate division, focuses on multi-family residential development in urban and in-fill areas, with approximately 3,300 units in development throughout Florida.
Position Scope
Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for general maintenance repairs within the community. Responsibilities include general maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, grounds, and appliance repairs. The technician will also assist with the make-ready process and service requests.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Promptly and courteously handle all resident service requests.
- Prepare vacant apartments for new residents according to schedule.
- Assist Maintenance Supervisor with planning and conducting preventative maintenance programs.
- Keep workshop and storage areas neat, orderly, and safe; maintain inventory of parts and supplies.
- Perform general carpentry repairs.
- Maintain excellent curb appeal by caring for amenities, hallways, walkways, and common areas daily.
- Repair and maintain central air conditioning equipment, including draining, cleaning, and filling cooling towers, pumps, fans, and controls.
- Maintain, repair, or replace air conditioning compressors.
- Maintain and repair appliances.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, including uniform compliance.
- Follow company and community policies and procedures.
- Care for and maintain all community-owned equipment and supplies.
- Complete required training courses online or in person.
- Follow OSHA standards and company safety policies; participate in monthly safety training; report hazards.

Work Experience
- Training or experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, appliance repair, pool maintenance, HVAC refurbishment, or equivalent.
- Willingness to assist in janitorial, grounds, or painting tasks.
- Ability to support supervisors and managers as needed.
Education Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- English proficiency; bilingual skills preferred.
- HVAC certification required.
