Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician looking to grow with a company that values your skills and supports your success? Staffmark is now hiring a Maintenance Technician for a leading industrial facility in Houston, TX.

This non-entry-level position is ideal for candidates with at least 1 year of experience in preventative maintenance.

Pay

$18.00 - $20.00/hour (based on experience)

Shifts Available

• 1st Shift: Monday - Friday
• 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, heat exchangers, heaters, pumps, blowers, and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair breakdowns efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Maintain and monitor hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Oversee shop floor activities and support operator performance.
• Execute continuous improvement initiatives to reduce equipment failures.
• Ensure plant safety procedures and compliance at all times.
• Lead and manage daily maintenance activities, schedules, and reporting.
• Participate in welding and fabrication tasks as needed.
• Identify and validate critical machinery for operational readiness.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of hands-on maintenance experience (forklifts, cranes, heaters, etc.).
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs regularly.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and follow maintenance schedules and safety protocols.
• Comfortable managing tasks independently and in a team environment.
• Must be reliable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented.
