Job summary

A leading company in the food and beverage manufacturing industry is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure all warehouse equipment is maintained in safe operating condition. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, conducting inspections, and assisting with general maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, strong technical experience, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Qualifications

• 10 years of technical experience in mechanics & electronics preferred.
• Ability to safely lift 50 to 75 lbs occasionally.
• Excellent hand and finger dexterity required.

Job Summary
This position ensures that all warehouse equipment is maintained in a safe, efficient operating condition. May perform fire inspections.

Responsibilities

• Keep up to date on all maintenance records for warehouse equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance for chargers, batteries, and power equipment on schedule
• Issue POs for all parts ordered with management approval
• Issue work orders for all work performed
• Other duties as assigned by management
• Perform light maintenance on trailers, including replacing lights, repairing interior walls and floors, light welding
• Assist in general maintenance of the building and grounds, such as repairing storage racks, moving furniture, erecting partitions, basic electrical and plumbing repairs
• Perform scheduled monthly fire inspections
• Perform monthly sprinkler inspections

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent in experience
• Ability to read and write English
• 10 years of technical experience in mechanics & electronics preferred

Physical Demands

• Work is medium to heavy in nature
• Must be able to safely lift 50 to 75 lbs occasionally
• Requires excellent hand and finger dexterity
• Potentially loud environment requiring shouting to communicate

Mental/Visual Demands

• Ability to read close and distant text with or without correction
• Distance vision required for forklift operation
• Ability to perform manual tasks, hear, stand, sit, reach, bend, communicate, and interact

Working Conditions

• Activities occur both indoors and outdoors
• Exposure to extreme cold during freezer work
• Hazardous conditions near moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, and high places

Equipment Operated

Forklift, floor scrubber, pallet jack, and possibly scissor lift, semi-tractor/trailer, welder, grinder, cutting torch, and hand tools.
