Job summary

Clarios in Toledo, OH is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment including conveyors, robotics, and electrical systems. You will read schematics and work with 120/208/480 VAC, PLCs, and VFDs, with a focus on reducing downtime.

The role requires at least 4 years of industrial maintenance experience, a high school diploma, and strong mechanical/electrical repair skills.

Shift

• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM –10:30 PM
• 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Standard schedule: 12 days on / 2 days off, with 12-hour shifts on weekends
• Overtime and weekend work is required

Shift Differential

• 8-hour weekday shifts: 2nd shift +$1.00/hr
• 12-hour weekend shifts: Day shift +$1.00/hr; Night shift +$1.50/hr

Job Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment including conveyors, robotics, and electrical systems
• Diagnose equipment issues, replace or repair parts, and make adjustments to minimize downtime
• Work with 120, 208, and 480 VAC circuits, PLC hardware, ladder logic, and motor controls (VFDs, soft starts)
• Operate shop tools such as lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinder, and power saws as needed
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment reliability
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Adhere to safety protocols including PPE requirements and LOTO procedures

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of industrial maintenance experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong mechanical and electrical repair skills
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems (480v), and preventative maintenance in a manufacturing setting
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, equipment manuals, and work orders
• PLC troubleshooting experience preferred, but not required
• Commitment to teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement
