Job summary

Clarios in Geneva, IL is seeking a weekend Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and plant systems during 12-hour weekend rotations with 24 hours paid as 36 hours. You will work Saturday and Sunday, with two 12-hour shifts and time off on weekdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of maintenance mechanic experience (manufacturing preferred).
• Must supply and maintain personal hand tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, stoop, and work weekend/OT schedule.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and plant systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and utility issues.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance.
• Install and adjust machinery, controls, power systems, and utilities.
• Operate machine shop equipment (lathe, mill, drill press, welder, etc.).
• Create and document work orders; track parts and maintenance activity.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow all PPE standards.

Weekend Maintenance Technicians

• Work 24 scheduled hours
• Receive pay equivalent to 36 hours
• Remain eligible for full benefits

Weekend Schedule

• Saturday & Sunday
• 12-hour shifts
• 6:00am - 6:30pm OR
• 6:00pm - 6:30am

Consistent schedule. Premium pay. Four weekdays off.

Availability Requirements

• Training occurs Monday-Friday and may rotate across shifts.
• Additional Friday or Monday off-shifts will be required based on operational needs.
• Candidates must be available to work either day when scheduled.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of maintenance mechanic experience (manufacturing preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems
• Technical training in mechanical or electrical systems (PLC knowledge preferred)
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and production specifications
• Strong problem-solving and basic computer/data entry skills
• Must supply and maintain personal hand tools
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (sponsorship not available)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, stoop, and work required weekend/OT schedule
