Job summary

ProMach seeks a skilled Machine Mechanic for its Hauppauge location to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot various machines including die-cutting and flexographic equipment. You will diagnose issues, replace parts, and ensure safe, efficient operation across production shifts.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and maintain machinery and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Use tools and equipment such as wrenches, calipers, and diagnostic machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and technical drawings.
• Test and calibrate machines to ensure proper functionality.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company protocols.
• Keep maintenance records and document repair work.
• Conduct electrical and electromechanical troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with the Plant Manager and production team to address machine breakdowns efficiently.
• Respond to production emergency calls for breakdown maintenance, assess severity, and communicate timeline estimates to supervisors ( Production )
