Job summary

ProMach’s HMC division seeks a talented CNC Machinist to manufacture parts from drawings, maintain inventory, and keep machinery running in a climate-controlled facility in Caledonia Township, IL.

You will operate Haas CNC mill and lathe, read complex blueprints, and contribute to continuous improvement while ensuring safety and quality. Competitive hourly wage with comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate and program Haas CNC mill and lathe safely and efficiently.
• Study blueprints and GD&T to plan machining.
• Edit programs, set tool offsets, and perform calculations.
• Verify settings with first-run pieces and inspections.
• Collaborate with engineering on R&D projects.
• Maintain quality control and clean work area.

ProMach’s HMC division is seeking a talented CNC Machinist. You’ll contribute to the success of the company by manufacturing parts according to drawings, maintaining raw material inventory in accordance with inventory control policies, and maintaining machinery through proper preventative maintenance. We offer a modern, clean, safe and climate-controlled facility and focus on producing world-class packaging equipment for our global customer base. Are you passionate about this work?

• Operating & programming Haas CNC mill and lathe machines safely and productively.
• Planning machining by studying detailed/complex blueprints and work orders; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD & T).
• Downloading/editing programs by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation and conditional switches. Calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry and trigonometry; proving part programs.
• Verifying settings by measuring positions, first run part and sample work pieces.
• Partnering with engineering on R & D projects.
• Maintaining Quality Control through inspections
• Keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly.

• Minimum 1 year Manufacturing experience, preferably in a Custom Machine Shop environment desired.
• Experience running Haas CNC equipment preferred but not required.
• Excellent Safety practices and mindset.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and to engage in multiple jobs simultaneously.
• Ability to read machine drawings/ blueprints.
• Ability to take direction and follow through with assignments as provided.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and maintain good attendance.
• Must be able to work well in a team and environment.
• Ability to do your own set-ups and produce quality parts from drawings with minimal supervision.

Salary Range: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour.
